Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure within our organisation.
Responsibilities
* Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
* Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency
* Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to complete installations and repairs accurately
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out electrical tasks
* Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or faults in electrical systems
* Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget
* Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
* Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws
* Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
* Relevant qualifications such as a recognised Electrician's certification or equivalent
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards at all times
* Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
