GSL Education are looking for a reliable Maths Teacher to support schools across Barnsley, particularly within the S70 and S71 communities, delivering engaging lessons that strengthen numeracy, reasoning, and analytical skills. In this role, the Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver structured lessons that challenge pupils, encourage logical thinking, and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lessons in line with the mathematics curriculum. Support pupils in developing problem-solving, reasoning, and numeracy skills. Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning atmosphere. Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives. Requirements: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
