Head of HR (12 month FTC to perm) - £competitive plus bonus + benefits
We are supporting a confidential search for an experienced Head of HR to join a regulated Financial Services organisation on a fixed term contract.
This is a senior, visible role reporting into the Chief People Officer, with responsibility for leading the day to day delivery of the HR function during a period of operational focus and ongoing change. The role will suit a confident, hands on Head of HR who is comfortable operating at senior level, partnering closely with the business, and taking ownership of outcomes.
The role
You will lead the HR function, ensuring high quality operational delivery and effective execution of the people agenda, in line with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leadership of HR operations including payroll, pensions, benefits, global mobility, and HR systems
• Line management of the HR Business Partner team and ownership of senior stakeholder relationships across the business
• Ensuring effective HR business partnering support to leaders, aligned to commercial and regulatory priorities
• Ownership of HR policies, processes, and third party providers, ensuring robust governance and compliance
• Delivery of annual remuneration and reward processes within a regulated Financial Services environment
• Providing expert advice on complex employee relations matters
• Leading, coaching, and developing the wider HR team
• Driving HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including HRIS and process enhancement
• Providing clear and accurate people insight to senior stakeholders and the Chief People Officer
About you
You will be an experienced Head of HR, or operating at a strong number two level within a regulated Financial Services organisation.
You are likely to bring:
• Solid experience operating in regulated Financial Services environments
• Strong understanding of governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks, including SMCR
• Proven experience leading HR business partnering models and managing HRBPs
• Confidence partnering with senior leaders and influencing at a high level
• A practical, delivery focused approach, with the ability to balance strategy and hands on execution
