Our Creditor Services team are licensed insolvency practitioners and one of the UK’s largest bankruptcy appointment takers. We have a large creditor services team that helps SMEs, banks, utilities companies, local authorities, and professional practices. Our debt collection service team are trained financial professionals supported by licensed insolvency practitioners.
We are looking for an Analyst to support our Debt Management team. You will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge, develop your technical skills, and apply them as part of a growing team.
The Analyst will support the team in maximising recoveries on behalf of a portfolio of clients while ensuring compliance protocols are met.
Responsibilities
* Effectively collect outstanding business-to-business debt by phone and in writing in a busy department.
* Manage a portfolio of cases, conduct investigations into customer’s affairs, such as asset position, business distress, and trigger points.
* Identify potential cases for further action, including legal escalation or internal referral.
* Provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc updates and reports to clients and analyze debt data for Managers.
* Follow defined debt management processes with a focus on continuous improvement; communicate with management to provide updates and enhance department efficiency.
* Minimize potential complaints and handle them according to established procedures.
* Meet targets set within your team and department.
* Adopt appropriate approaches for different customers, including care/vulnerable customers, and assist them effectively.
* Maintain awareness of Treating Customers Fairly principles when communicating.
* Assist other departments when necessary, including upselling internal portfolio risk products.
* Utilize data and analytics to improve efficiencies and deliver premium client service.

* Proactive and forward-thinking individual capable of working independently and within a team. Resilience and strong negotiation skills are essential.
* Experience in a telephone-based role, such as debt collection, customer service, or sales.
* Insolvency background is advantageous.
* Understanding of business-to-business debt collection.
* Experience working with clients in the utilities sector is beneficial.
* Studying for the Institute of Credit Management qualification is advantageous.
* Proficient in IT tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Maintain high professional standards of conduct.
* Organized and able to manage time effectively and flexibly.
* Awareness of TCF and Lending Standards Board principles.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
