We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Lincoln, starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Key Stage 1 and is passionate about supporting pupils as they consolidate early learning and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.

As the Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. You will help pupils achieve key stage milestones while fostering independence and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
* Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
* Use assessment to track progress and inform planning and interventions
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and a love of learning
* Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments in a supportive way
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
* Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
* Be organised, enthusiastic, and proactive
* Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to professional development
* Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
