Role: Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Princess Grace Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Saturday, 5 days per week – earlies, lates and long days (8am‑4pm, 12pm‑9pm, 7:30am‑9pm)
Salary: Competitive + shift allowance
We are looking for a Senior Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our Operating Theatres Department at The Princess Grace Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment supported by world‑class surgeons and the latest innovative technology and equipment, including the Da Vinci Surgical System.
What You Will Do
* Work as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and safety of patients within the theatre department, whilst utilising evidence‑based practice.
* Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
* Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
* Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults are reported to the Theatre Co‑ordinator immediately.
What You Will Bring
* Bachelor of Nursing
* Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
* Current HCPC Registration or NMC Registration / NMC pin
* Experience working in an Operating Theatre as an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
