NSB Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading environmental consultancy to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Environmental Technician to join a growing specialist team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of contaminated land investigations and environmental incident response work across the UK.
This home-based position offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, primarily focusing on domestic oil spills and the subsequent development of effective remediation strategies. Key Responsibilities:
* Responding to environmental incidents in both commercial and rural settings
* Carrying out contaminated land investigations and developing remediation strategies
* Conducting environmental monitoring and sampling of soil, water, and air
* Preparing clear and concise technical reports for clients
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide effective technical responses
* Supporting health & safety best practice through risk assessments and on-site management
* Managing waste and ensuring full Duty of Care compliance
* Maintaining equipment and managing stock levels
* Incident response and occasional stay-aways as required
About You:
We’re looking for a self-motivated and solutions-driven individual with a strong work ethic and the flexibility to travel across England, Wales, and occasionally Scotland.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills
* Confident working independently and remotely
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Proactive and practical approach to problem-solving
* Competent with Microsoft Office and general IT systems
* Full clean UK driving licence
* Must be based within the Midlands or within one hour’s drive
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in managing domestic oil spill investigations
* CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid qualification
