Role: GC3 Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst
You will enable HM Government to understand significant and cross-cutting cyber threats, supporting effective decision-making and promoting collaboration across government departments to 'defend as one'.
In June 2025, the Government Cyber Directorate will transfer to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) as part of a machinery of government change. This role is in scope for transfer, and successful candidates appointed before the transfer will move to DSIT upon confirmation. If appointed on the transfer date, your appointment will be directly with DSIT, unaffected by the transfer. We are consulting with Trade Unions on policies, terms, and conditions applicable to this transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain expertise in relevant cyber threats, utilizing all available resources.
2. Understand the wider technology and threat environments to inform your assessments.
3. Gather information from open, commercial, and government sources to support the intelligence process.
4. Analyze information critically and creatively.
5. Create high-quality, insightful reports to aid decision-making.
6. Collaborate with cyber threat intelligence teams across government and industry to share intelligence effectively.
You may also support wider GC3 Cyber Operations functions as required.
Candidates must meet security requirements, including Security Check (SC), with the willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance if necessary.
