Job Overview
Provide high-quality environmental legal services to Southern Water to enable delivery of capital, operational, and infrastructure programmes, especially related to AMP8 and company turnaround projects.
* Provide focused, accurate, effective, and timely legal advice, analysis, and support on environmental and planning issues.
* Communicate advice clearly and effectively to enable understanding at all levels.
* Identify environmental, planning, and regulatory risks for the company and work on solutions to manage these risks.
* Stay updated on legal developments affecting the company.
* Prepare and negotiate legal documents on behalf of the company.
About You
* Qualified lawyer (Solicitor/Barrister/Chartered Legal Executive) with 3+ years post-qualification experience in Environmental and Planning Law.
* Experience working on environmental and planning issues.
* Proactive team player with knowledge of law, court procedures, and legal precedents.
* Ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly.
* Risk management skills related to environmental and planning matters.
* Commercial awareness and business acumen.
