Nursery Manager – Windsor 🌿

KiddyKare is delighted to be supporting a highly reputable and long-standing independent nursery in Windsor, in their search for a Nursery Manager to join and lead their dedicated early years team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated childcare professional to step into a managerial role within a nurturing and educationally focused nursery. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, support a small team, and be hands-on with the children, particularly in the 2–3-year-old room.
About the Role:
Term Time Responsibilities Include:
*
Supporting the Head of EYFS with nursery management and administration
*
Line managing key nursery staff to ensure the highest standards of care, teaching and learning
*
Leading parent partnerships and meetings, and contributing to the creation of formal reports and progress journals
*
Planning and preparing for nursery open mornings and supporting admissions
*
Overseeing curriculum planning, classroom setup, and effective delivery of EYFS
*
Acting as a key person to a group of children, contributing to their personal and educational development
*
Ensuring adherence to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion policies
*
Engaging in outdoor supervision, extended hours provision, and daily nursery routines
Holiday Responsibilities Include:
*
Managing the day-to-day running of the nursery when the Head of EYFS is offsite
*
Organising staff rotas, holiday cover, and ensuring compliance with ratios
*
Coordinating site security, liaising with maintenance and facilities teams
*
Supervising children’s wellbeing, safety, meals, and progress tracking
*
Overseeing the holiday club provision and managing budgets and parent communications
What We’re Looking For:
*
Minimum Level 3 in Childcare (NVQ or equivalent)
*
Previous experience in a senior nursery or management role
*
Excellent working knowledge of EYFS and child development
*
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
*
Proficiency in using online learning journals and digital communication tools
*
A warm, professional, and proactive attitude
*
Strong safeguarding awareness and commitment to children’s welfare
*
Ability to work flexibly, including occasional additional hours for meetings and events
