Product Engineer (Electronic/Electrical) – TransportOpus proudly collaborates with an Electronic Engineering firm specializing in real-time data, products, and services for the Transport industry.We're currently seeking a Project Engineer to lead and guide various pre- and post-sales engineering activities for the RTI market. This role is ideal for individuals with a robust background in electrical/electronic engineering within the transport sector, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for developing turnkey solutions.Responsibilities:Conducting QA testing and validationInstallation and commissioning tasksSubcontractor managementMethod statement and risk assessment creationProduction of schematics and technical documentationAdditionally, you'll be engaged in pre-sales tasks, including analyzing customer requirements and designing turnkey systems/solutions.Skills Required:Experience in transport systems engineeringPre-sales proficiency: requirements analysis, system design, solution articulationSystem configuration and customization expertiseTender response and documentation capabilitiesPrevious experience in testing and repairKnowledge of analogue and digital electronicsPreferred Qualifications:Highways electrical experienceFamiliarity with TFT/LED displays, Touch screen HMIs, Vehicle tracking systemsExperience with Linux embedded softwareAutomotive electrics knowledge/experienceAdditional Information:A UK driving license with access to a vehicle is mandatory.Right to work in the UK is essential; sponsorship is unavailable.Onsite presence required 2-3 times per week, with occasional client site visits.Next Steps:If you're ready to advance your career, please apply.
