Senior Healthcare Assistant
Band 3 | 24 hours per week - Permanent
This is an excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, progressive Ward 40 team.
You will be required to assist a team of nurses and health care assistants in providing a high standard of care for patients on the ward, from personal care, to nutrition, and assisting the nursing team where possible with clinical observations, blood glucose monitoring and blood sampling. You will be part of a team of Health care assistants that provide excellent care to patients needing admission on a respiratory ward for treatment for a wide range of conditions. You need to have a caring and empathetic personality. It would be beneficial to have background experience in a healthcare assistant role and completion of a care certificate.

The post holder will provide clinical support in carrying out assigned tasks and delivery of care to patients within ward 40. They will be responsible for providing personalised care for patients, as required following appropriate training and within their scope of competence. They will also provide training, direction, and supervision to junior staff.
