We are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the corporate services department at the Kettering office of a successful accountancy practice. This firm focuses on its employees through social events and flexible, hybrid working patterns, making office time rewarding and enjoyable.
The firm is open to recruiting an AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA candidate at Semi-Senior level with fewer duties, offering a salary of up to £35,000.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, reporting to the Departmental Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Assist the Manager and act as Senior on audit assignments as required.
2. Prepare client accounts based on provided information.
3. Prepare business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns, corporation tax computations, and CT600 forms.
4. Assist with client queries regarding bookkeeping and other business matters.
5. Monitor your job quality and quantity in line with budgets, record chargeable time, and ensure maximum recovery.
6. Assist with administrative tasks as necessary.
7. Deliver ad hoc projects and assignments.
8. Identify points for the Manager to raise with clients and suggest areas for additional services and advice.
9. Perform bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier management, and management accounts as required.
10. Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts.
11. Support trainees through coaching and supervision.
As an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior, these duties will be performed with supervision.

1. Qualified, with a minimum of AAT, preferably ACCA/ACA (or studying towards).
2. At least three years of audit and accounts experience within UK practice.
3. Ability to prepare, conduct, and supervise audits, and prepare client accounts, tax, PAYE, or VAT efficiently.
4. Strong IT skills, preferably with experience in cloud accounting software such as Xero, Mercia, or CCH.
5. Highly organized, self-motivated, with keen attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Willingness to attend relevant courses.
