Click apply now!**Responsibilities:** * ## Lead the team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach and guide its members to ensure a workforce which is competent, engaged and enabled to meet Jotun’s current and future needs.## * ## Head larger development projects, and through planning, co-ordination and follow-up, make sure that the requested goals and required effect are reached within the planned time- and budgetary frames.## * ## Initiate and participate actively in making the R&D Plan for the specialist area/function by collecting ideas, reading literature, following the changes in SHE-legislation and contribute with ideas to maximize the output from the resources available.## * ## Manage the development and maintenance of the competence within the team as well as information handling, knowledge/innovation management use and further development of relevant tools and systems.## * ## The position holder shall also provide relevant information and give advice to the other laboratories and departments in Jotun within the areas covered by the position.## * ## This is a local contract and based in Jotun’s Fire Protection Lab in Flixborough, UK.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER**What we are looking for**We invite applications from candidates with a degree level education in a scientific or process subject. Experience of working in R&D with coatings. Experience with Intumescent Coatings is preferable. Candidates should preferably have experience of managing a team of R&D specialists.
