Overview
Amazon UK Services Ltd. is hiring a Control Tower Analyst in Dunstable, England, United Kingdom. The role involves delivering exceptional end-to-end 24/7 operational support for 3PL buildings across the European External Fulfillment chain, and providing timely data-based insights. The team aims to standardize and optimize processes and enable clear, frustration-free communication. The position may be based in LTN4 or LTN1 and involves a rotating three-shift system (which may include Saturdays, Sundays, night shifts and on-call duty).
Responsibilities
* Create reports by extracting and transforming data from tables and loading it into optimized data structures.
* Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new resources.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand, automate, and enhance existing processes.
* Learn and develop skills in the latest technologies and analytical techniques.
* Translate data and analytical frameworks into actionable business insights on the ground.
* Design innovative ideas for new work or to improve existing work.
Basic Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
* Experience working with data.
* Advanced proficiency in local language in both written and verbal communication (CEFR B2/C1).
Preferred Qualifications
* SQL skills across multiple platforms (Oracle, Redshift, MySQL).
* Familiarity with Datanet/ETL tools (internal).
* Experience with dashboards using Tableau/Power BI/Excel/Power Pivots.
* Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., VB Script, Python, Perl, Ruby) is a plus.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload; data-driven decision making.
