As part of their initial build-out, they are now seeking a Lead Software Engineers to join a high-performing, engineering-led team delivering cloud, data, and API-driven platforms for enterprise clients.
If you are a hands on Lead Engineer with strong team leadership experience, this role would align perfectly and will offer the opportunity to rapidly accelerate towards an Engineering Manager level position.
This organisation operates at the intersection of cloud engineering, data platforms, and modern application development. They partner deeply with clients, embedding into full project lifecycles and delivering systems that operate at real scale.
The Opportunity
Initially, you’ll lead a small software engineering team in Belfast that will grow over time. The team will be focused on delivering end-to-end features across web applications, APIs, and data services. You’ll work closely with product and delivery teams, contributing to architecture decisions, building reliable services, and helping shape engineering standards as the Belfast site grows.
Engineers in this environment are trusted with ownership. From designing solutions through to shipping, scaling, and improving them in production.
Technical Skills
This company is a software solutions business, focused on building highly scalable, enterprise level software for a range of organisations so naturally, they work across a range of tech stacks.
Typically, they look for software engineers with technical skills in either of the following stacks. If you have experience across both, even better!
* Stack 2: Java, Spring, Python, Spark, Databricks, Kafka, and Apache Iceberg, ETL/ELT, Parquet, Hadoop, and modern query layers
If you have 5+ years’ experience in a stack similar to either of the above, this could be the role for you!
