Overview
We\'re looking for a kind, flexible and proactive Personal Assistant to support a neurodivergent family with day-to-day routines, childcare, and practical tasks. This is a varied, rewarding role working closely with bright, creative children who love animals, nature, and hands-on activities.
Responsibilities
* Childcare support: help plan routines, supervise play, assist with homework, and encourage independence (e.g., cooking, hygiene, chores, errands).
* Transport children to/from activities and attend appointments and groups with them.
* Help with planning and attending fun outings and activities, both at home and in the community.
* Provide advocacy, structure, and gentle encouragement, especially in new environments.
* Work in partnership with parents to adapt support based on the family\u2019s evolving needs.
About you
* Great communicator, patient, and approachable.
* Confident with travel (including into London) and longer-distance driving.
* Comfortable working in a household with 4 dogs and 4 kittens.
* Experience or interest in Autism, ADHD, PDA, chronic fatigue/long COVID is ideal.
* No formal qualifications required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Other Info
* £13.85 per hour, 22 hours a week regularly increasing to 52 hours a week during school holidays.
* Two children are currently home educated, so daytime availability is important.
