Starting salary from £30,805 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £37,174.
Senior Research Associate starting salary from £38,249 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £45,413.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate (SRA)/Research Associate (RA) to join Norwich Medical School. Appointment to SRA will depend on demonstration of appropriate experience in applied health economics research. You will contribute to health economic analysis on two projects: CHARMER and IMAB-Qi. These are large-scale NIHR funded programme grants with substantial health economic components.
You will work closely with an established health economist (David Turner). As a Senior Research Associate/Research Associate, you will contribute ideas and/or enhancements of techniques or methodologies. You will analyze and interpret data, write up results, and present research progress and outcomes to the wider research team.
You will hold a good first degree in economics, a related quantitative subject, or other quantitative discipline. You will also hold (or be in the last year of) a postgraduate qualification with substantial health economics components. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to analyze and interpret data, and experience working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment are essential. Advanced skills in health economics and experience in applied health economics research would be advantageous. For Senior Research Associate, experience of independent research and publications in respected journals or equivalent are required.
This full-time post is available from 1 September 2025 on a fixed-term basis for one year.
