Job overview We are looking for a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Occupational Therapy Service at The Walton Centre. We are a team of occupational therapists, assistants and a degree apprentice providing care across the acute inpatient wards covering neurology and neurosurgery. As the Clinical Specialist within the team you will be responsible for delivery of clinical services, service development and clinical support and supervision across the team, working alongside the team lead OT. You will manage a defined clinical caseload alongside and work closely with other clinical colleagues across the Trust. Whilst experience in a regional neurosciences centre is desirable we are interested to hear from anyone with proven experience within a relevant neurology speciality such as stroke, early supported discharge, community neurology or other relevant experience. Evidence of service development and change management is essential as is the ability to collaborate with patients, families and other colleagues. You will be part of the wider Therapy Service at the Walton Centre and be supported by the Head of Therapies, Acute Clinical Lead and your Occupational Therapy peers to integrate into your new role. You will be supported to access additional education and training as required.
