Overview

For over 135 years, we have been giving children from Derbyshire the chance to experience the seaside — often for the very first time. It is a moment of safety, joy, confidence and belonging that stays with them for life. As we reopen and grow our life‑changing work in 2026, this is one of the most important leadership roles in our organisation. Based at our seaside centre in Skegness, you will lead the delivery of residential holidays for children who need them most – creating a safe, welcoming and inspiring environment where confidence can grow and children can simply be children.

Role Purpose

The Holiday Centre Manager is responsible for the safe, effective and inspiring delivery of residential programmes for children and young people. You will lead the day‑to‑day operation of the centre, including:

* Activity programmes
* Staff and volunteers
* Safeguarding and welfare
* Health & safety and compliance
* Facilities and site management

You will also act as a key ambassador for DCHC, building relationships with schools, partners and the wider community to help grow our reach and impact.

Why this role matters

Each year, hundreds of children come to our Skegness centre facing challenges such as poverty, trauma, or difficult home circumstances. In just five days, something powerful happens:

* They build confidence
* They make friends
* They experience joy and stability
* They begin to believe in themselves

As Holiday Centre Manager, you will be at the heart of making this happen – ensuring every child is safe, supported and able to thrive.

* Oversee programmes & people
* Safeguarding (DSL) & compliance
* 24‑hour on‑call support
