We have a vacancy for an Administrator to join our Black Country Operations Administration Team. Reporting to the Operations Administration Supervisor and the DVSA In-House Theory Test Centre Manager, you will support both day-to-day administrative tasks and the delivery of secure, fair and efficient DVSA driver theory tests. This role requires someone who can follow clearly defined legislative procedures and adapt quickly to changing demands. You’ll need excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work flexibly under pressure. The role is based at our training centre in Oldbury, although you may occasionally be required to attend other locations across the West Midlands. Responsibilities In this role, you will: administer and invigilate DVSA driver theory tests at our in-house test centre – full training, including use of the DVSA SARAS computer system, will be provided support and comply with DVSA audit visits and procedures provide administrative support to fire stations and command teams – including stock control, ordering goods and services, booking education visits and events, and taking minutes at meetings offer advice on administration tasks and processes across departments support the day-to-day operations of the Oldbury Training Facility, including managing petty cash, welcoming visitors, and assisting with general site responsibilities. Experience and skills strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal and external audiences excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage expectations and respond to queries professionally high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all administrative tasks ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload under pressure understanding of data protection principles, with experience in handling sensitive or confidential information proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
