All of this is done completely within the browser with no need to download, install, or update anything whilst offering a simple, device agnostic user experience.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning SaaS business as a Business Development Manager.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager who will have responsibility for implementing our ambitious sales strategy alongside the Head of Business Growth, and for identifying and developing new business opportunities whilst managing and growing existing accounts.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for setting and achieving personal sales targets, and to contribute to the wider team's targets and organisational goals.

Key Functions:

* To increase customer numbers and grow existing accounts
* To sell Videosign products and services across target sectors and geographical locations
* To support Videosign's development and growth

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales and Customer Relationships

1. Identify and target new customers and evaluate their position in the industry, researching and analysing sales options.
2. Proactively seek out contacts in target providers.
3. Generate leads using a range of methods including telephone calls, prospecting emails, direct email, networking, and engagement via social media.
4. Sell products through consultative sales techniques: establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; demonstrating products; identifying issues/ barriers and recommending solutions.
5. Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
6. Deliver external training and webinars to existing and potential new customers, and other key stakeholders.
7. Represent Videosign at conferences, events and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness, and to generate leads.
8. Provide excellent customer service, including handling customer questions, enquiries, and requests.

Leadership, Monitoring and Reporting

1. Lead the maintenance of Videosign's CRM database.
2. Monitor progress towards Key Performance Indicators in line with the Sales Strategy and Operational Plan.
3. Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information relating to sales and business development.
4. Participate in team meetings and planning days, including providing information and data on sales activities.
5. Provide line management and/or supervision to junior sales team members, including interns and/or apprentices as required:

6. Be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries and support

7. Deliver training and provide resources/ materials
8. Set realistic targets and deadlines
9. Undertake appraisals and performance management
10. Motivate and identify ways to get the best from individuals

11. Work with the Head of Business Growth and Chief Executive Officer to set sales goals and develop sales strategies.

Service Development

* Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in local and national consultations and events.
* Support the marketing functions through generating content (e.g. blogs, articles) and providing market intelligence.
* Produce user case studies and stories to support product development and marketing functions.

General Responsibilities:

* Work with other members of the Videosign team to coordinate activity.
* Travel to and work from any site that the duties of the job may require.
* Carry out any other duties as specified, from time to time by the Management Team.

Person Specification

Experience

* Experience of business-to-business sales including presentations and sales related meetings.
* Proven sales experience and track record of generating actual sales.
* Experience in a Fintech or related setting.
* Experience of developing and maintaining customer relationships.
* Experience collecting, analysing and presenting customer data to inform sales strategies.

Skills/Abilities

* Be a confident communicator and a driven individual.
* Have exceptional interpersonal skills.
* Have high energy, be proactive, entrepreneurial, dynamic and a self-starter.
* Have a proven work ethic.
* Ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and use own initiative to meet agreed targets.
* Be able to identify, progress and close sales opportunities with new and existing accounts.
* Be able to develop key relationships at both C-level and Head of function / head of line of business.
* Be able to develop and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
* Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Ability to understand, use and interpret customer information to inform sales activities.
* Good understanding of the requirements for marketing/selling IT or FinTech products.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.
* Ability to organise work on multiple projects/accounts at once.
* Ability to work as part of a team remotely.
* Ability to identify and solve problems and suggest solutions.
* IT literate using Microsoft Office and Outlook
