Wood is looking for a Planner to support our offshore team on a full time basis on either a Fixed Term Contract, PAYE or PSC contract for 6 months. This role is based at our clients offices in either Aberdeen or Barrow-in-Furness. The successful individual should preferably have experience in an offshore environment.
The role
The preparation, review and reporting of accurate project schedules and plans in support of the robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle. Preparation and submission of project schedules and plans, ensuring schedules and plans are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood & Client policies, procedures, and standards. Supports the management and development of the Offshore Planning team, the management of project schedules and plans, and the preparation and filing of project planning documentation. May act as the focal point for several project scopes offshore.

8. Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)
9. Relevant scheduling/planning experience preferably in an offshore environment
10. Proficient knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling
11. Proficient knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling
12. Proficient understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities
13. Ability to develop project schedules and plans
14. Ability to prepare resource loading, progress and staffing plans
15. Proficient understanding of earned value application, cost and schedule variance analyses/trending and what-if scenarios
16. Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
17. Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
