What matters to us
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.
* Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (MCIOB, MICE, MRICS).
* Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
* Training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management.
* Relevant CSCS Card; all site-based roles require competency skills cards.
* Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
* Understanding of Environmental Minimum Requirements (including Code of Construction Practice).
* Strong planning skills across all facets of the construction process.
Your contribution to our company
* Lead and promote high standards of HSEQ on the project; monitor and ensure policies are followed.
* Develop and update the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and Management Plans; promote a safety culture.
* Understand and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations; monitor quality standards and minimize defects.
* Manage defect rectification and final account submissions; ensure prompt invoicing and cash flow.
* Coordinate project handover and conduct project kick-off meetings to understand scope and risks.
* Develop and implement a robust Project Strategy including procurement, delivery, VE options, and materials management.
* Manage contractual rights, obligations, bonds, and insurance requirements with the Contracts Manager.
