What youll be getting stuck into as a Retail Butcher
* Preparing and portioning chicken, lamb and pork to high retail standards
* Serving customers at the counter, providing advice and tailored cuts
* Maintaining clean, safe and well-organised preparation and display areas
* Keeping counters, cabinets and fridges well stocked and attractively presented
* Supporting daily operations alongside the Head Butcher and wider team
* Assisting with additional meat processing when required at the nearby unit
What youll bring to the table as a Retail Butcher
* Previous experience preparing fresh meat within a butchery environment
* Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
* Experience xsngvjr working on a retail meat counter or in customer-facing butchery
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe meat handling practices
* Ability to maintain product quality and presentation in a busy shop setting
Working hours
4550 hours per week, typically between 6:00am 7:30pm across rotating early and late shifts.
