Support Worker

Salary: £12.21 per hour (depending on experience)
Shifts available: Day; Night; Early and Late
We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to join our team. This is a zero-hour contract with flexible hours based on client needs, with the potential to become a permanent role. You will support individuals with autism and challenging behaviours, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and development. Training in Team Teach (behavioural management) will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Individuals: Assist with daily activities, including personal care, emotional regulation, and social skills.
Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour support plans and strategies to reduce challenging behaviours.
Team Teach Implementation: Use Team Teach techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging situations.
Collaboration: Work with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities and progress.
Person-Centred Approach: Provide tailored support to meet individual needs and preferences.
Emotional Support: Offer emotional and social support to build confidence and self-esteem.
Training: Participate in ongoing training, including Team Teach and autism-specific support.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months care experience and be confident working with Autism and/or challenging behaviour.
Any previous training in de-escalation and safe physical intervention will be beneficial.
Drivers are also desirable but not required for the role.
About the Clients You'll Be Supporting
We care for a variety of children and young people with individual support needs. You will be travelling to their homes and taking the young people out on exciting activities.
