This is a role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare's Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover, Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. You will also be involved in the person‑centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. Additionally, you will support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.
Other responsibilities will include:

* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.

* Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Qualifications
NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff. Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Additional Requirements
A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare) and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
