Their mission is to make high-resolution molecular imaging accessible and impactful across life sciences and pharmaceutical research.
Role Overview
The company is seeking a PhD-level Assay Scientist with at least 5 years of experience in assay development to lead the design, development, and optimization of assays for integration with benchtop imaging platforms. This position is ideal for a hands‑on scientist with strong expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics who excels at developing and validating robust, scalable imaging‑based assays.
Key Responsibilities
 * Design, develop, and optimize assays compatible with benchtop molecular imaging systems.
 * Validate assay performance, including sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
 * Troubleshoot and refine experimental workflows to achieve consistent high‑quality results.
 * Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing teams to translate assays into commercially viable products.
 * Prepare technical documentation such as protocols, SOPs, and validation reports.
 * Stay current with emerging trends in fluorescence imaging, molecular detection, and assay design.
 * Contribute to the development of new assay formats and support ongoing product innovation.
Requirements
 * PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or a related field.
 * Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in assay development.
 * Proven expertise with imaging‑based, fluorescence‑based, or high‑sensitivity detection assays.
 * Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
 * Experience in transferring assays from R&D to manufacturing or productization.
 * Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., GLP, ISO 13485).
 * Understanding of pharmaceutical R&D, biomolecular screening, or imaging‑based workflows.
This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering company at the forefront of molecular imaging innovation. If you’re passionate about developing assays that drive next‑generation technologies and want to be part of a fast‑growing, collaborative team shaping the future of molecular research, we’d love to hear from you.
