With a strong reputation for customer trust and innovation, they’re now looking for a Data Engineer with deep database expertise to play a critical role in modernising and scaling their data platforms.
💻 The Role
This is a database-heavy Data Engineer position where you’ll take ownership of designing, optimising and evolving production-critical systems across AWS. Particularly using SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver scalable database solutions (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
* Lead migrations of MS SQL Server on EC2 to AWS RDS
* Build and manage data pipelines
* Drive performance tuning, query optimisation, and indexing strategies
* Collaborate across engineering teams to embed robust database architecture
✅ What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years in database engineering (design, build, optimisation, support)
* Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL) and PostgreSQL
* Proven experience with AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
* Track record of cloud migrations and database modernisation
* Experience with ETL, pipelines, and replication
* Python or similar scripting skills with an automation mindset
