Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Engineer (Electrical Biased) to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running efficiently, ensuring our snacks are produced safely and to the highest quality standards.


Shift and Salary

Shift - 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating days/nights 12 hour shifts

Salary - Competitive


Responsibilities

* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete relevant documentation on the CMMS.
* Diagnose breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis, recording all events on the CMMS.
* Deliver corrective actions to a high standard, maintaining food safety, quality, and legality at all times.
* Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth operations.
* Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components suitable for food contact and fit for purpose.
* Manage and control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment, identifying stock or consumable requirements.
* Respond swiftly to emergency situations, supporting operations colleagues as required.
* Attend and contribute to training sessions, sharing knowledge across teams.
* Record and monitor daily utility readings (water, gas, electricity) and raise any anomalies.
* Report any contamination risks (physical, chemical, or microbiological) or out-of-specification product.
* Maintain strict food hygiene standards during engineering activities in line with site HACCP and Food Safety Manual.
* Ensure all relevant risk assessments and PPE requirements are adhered to.
* Participate in engineering and production meetings as needed.
* Manage contractor paperwork, permits, and inductions during your shift.
* Work safely within your level of competence and seek support where required.


What we are looking for

* Time-served or qualified Engineer with an electrical bias (mechanical skills advantageous).
* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food production environment.
* Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and food safety
