Executive Assistant (OPCC)
Location: Andy Hocking House, Exeter
Salary: Grade 5 - Starts at £29,109, rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £31,296 per annum.
Please note that the above salary is based on a 37-hour workweek. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis, your salary will be prorated accordingly. Exceptions to the starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.
Type of working arrangement: Hybrid Worker - a flexible working arrangement involving some remote work and some in the employer's workspace.

The Office Of The Police And Crime Commissioner is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our dynamic team based at Middlemoor Police HQ in Exeter. Working for the Chief Executive, you will provide critical, professional, and effective personal support as their right-hand person. Key responsibilities include:
* Communicating and working with a range of people from the general public to senior officials & stakeholders
* Managing daily activities
* Diary management
* Minute taking and administrative support for meetings, conferences, and briefings
No two days are the same, so adaptability is essential. The role is varied, challenging, and fast-paced. Based in Exeter, you will work closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner, senior policing roles, and partners across Devon, Cornwall, and the Isles of Scilly.
Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar environment, demonstrating excellent planning and organisational skills, diplomacy, negotiation, and emotional intelligence. Strong verbal and written English skills are essential. You should be highly proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office applications.

Interview Process
First-stage interviews will be conducted via Teams on 29th May 2025, followed by in-person interviews at Middlemoor, Exeter on 4th June 2025, and a final meeting with Fran Hughes, Chief Executive, on 5th June 2025.
