You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £33,929 - £36,796 inc. London Weighting p.a. to qualified candidates and £31,337 - £33,035 inc. London Weighting p.a. to unqualified candidates on a full time permanent basis. The role: You will be reporting to the Progression Manager and will be responsible for delivering careers guidance as well as facilitating sustainable post-course positive destinations for all cohorts of students across Barking and Dagenham College on a case-loaded basis, to achieve an annually set target; this will include disadvantaged students and those with EHCPs or inclusion needs. Key Responsibilities of our Careers Progression Coach : Provide careers guidance appointments for students. Provide regular careers guidance for disadvantaged students and SEND students. Provide regular careers guidance for students who do not intend to progress to university and who donot have an alternative progression route. Further develop links with local employers and apprenticeship providers. Further develop links with local Universities and Higher Education providers Support college events for careers and progression, including Careers week, HE fairs, etc. Actively support the sourcing of work experience. placements for students who require work experience for their progression aim. Work with Heads of Department to actively source suitable work experience placements for students studying courses that require work experience as part of the programme of study. As our Careers Progression Coach you should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: A minimum of Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development or working towards one. English and Maths qualifications at level 2 or above. Experience of working in an education environment or similar setting Evidence of providing IAG on learning and work opportunities to diverse client groups/ Experience of engaging with external stakeholders to create work experience and employment opportunities. Strong experience in providing advice and guidance for learning and work opportunities to a range of client groups including academic and vocational routes (workplace and Universities) Ability to communicate effectively, logically and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. employers) both in person and over the phone. Ability to manage a complex workload including competing priorities, achieve targets and respond quickly and flexibly to changing needs and demands.
