Hours: 37hrs Full Time
Working Style: Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces
A temporary full time vacancy has arisen for a Secretarial Support Administrator within Children&s Services. You will be responsible for providing a flexible, high quality and efficient business support service to the Conference and Review Team and/or the Fostering Team. This role will involve taking minutes of complex meetings such as Complex Strategy Meetings, Foster Panel and Child Protection Meetings.
The successful candidate must possess good typing skills, be highly motivated, organised and be able to work to tight deadlines. Experience of minute taking is essential, as it forms the main requirement of the role.
You must possess 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, 2 of which must be in English language, Welsh or Mathematics. Attainment of, or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration is desirable.
About you:
Be able to use Word to Word Processing Level 2 standards.
Ability to record meeting notes.
Be able to use Excel $ú Spreadsheet Level 2.
Be able to use Powerpoint $ú Presentation Level 2.
Basic understanding of corporate policies and procedures.
Ability to undertake work, consistent with a comparatively basic knowledge and skills requirement, which encompasses a range of tasks involving application of readily understood rules, procedures or techniques.
Listen to contacts, questioning them when if necessary to ascertain the purpose of an enquiry, and summarising the enquiry for any person to whom it is intended.
Quickly learn how to operate standard office equipment.
Negotiate at a professional level.
Make decisions where matters are governed by clearly defined rules and procedures.
Manage ones time effectively, whilst working within statutory timeframes.
Assist in the modernisation of associated systems/processess.
