The Role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Senior Ecology Project Manager to manage
the delivery of complex and multi-disciplinary projects for our valued clients.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our expert ecologists and specialist
consultants, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will
coordinate surveys, manage timelines and budgets, and provide clear communication
to stakeholders, all while being supported by our senior leadership team and business
support staff.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and taking
ownership of end-to-end client deliverables.
What You’ll Do
• Lead the management of large and complex ecology projects, ensuring both
timely and high-quality report and survey outputs.
• Prepare quotations and proposals for new business opportunities.
• Manage sub-contractors and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure the steady progression of projects by coordinating with clients, and both
in-house teams and external contractors.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient financial administration and accurate
reporting.
• Collaborate with specialist ecologists to incorporate expert technical input into
project delivery.
• Mentor and support colleagues, helping to develop company processes and
efficiencies.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within Environmental Consultancy or Planning
consultancy.
• Relevant degree or master’s qualification – ecological/environmental
• Experience in preparing fee proposals and quotations.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to prioritise workloads and work under time pressure with changing work
requirements.
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• Experience of PM software (WFM would be advantageous)
• Membership of the Association of Project Management (APM)
• ArcGIS
