Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Inspection Supervisor to lead our quality inspection team within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace quality standards, demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, and apply a hands-on leadership approach to ensure product compliance with safety, reliability, and customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
1. Supervise daily inspection activities to ensure timely and accurate quality checks
2. Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
3. Review inspection documentation for accuracy and traceability
4. Develop and maintain inspection plans and procedures, including FAIs and in-process inspections
5. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
6. Train, mentor, and evaluate inspection personnel
7. Facilitate internal and external audits, addressing findings and supporting improvement initiatives
8. Monitor inspection metrics and KPIs; report findings to senior management
9. Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to minimize rework and scrap
Job Qualifications
10. High school diploma or equivalent
11. 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing quality inspection experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
12. U.S. Person status per ITAR regulations
13. Proficient in GD&T, precision measurement tools, and visual inspection standards
14. Experience with ERP systems, SPC tools, and digital inspection platforms
15. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
16. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data
17. Experience working with DCMA and FAA inspectors
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
19. Technical degree or certifications in aerospace quality
20. FAA Repair Station (Part 145) inspection experience
21. Internal audit and statistical analysis experience
Compensation Data
Pay Range: $85,898.00 - $107,372.00
