We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Buyer to join our Procurement Team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will take ownership of the procurement and expediting of technically advanced components across Composites and Additive Manufacturing ensuring the right parts are delivered on time, to specification, to the highest quality standards, and at the optimum cost, enabling performance at every race weekend. Key Responsibilities Procuring and expediting complex composite and ADM components for F1 car build and development. Ensure the validity of parts supply is clear within the ERP system and use this data to consistently hit departmental KPI targets. Manage and coordinate logistics of supplier material, ensuring suppliers have what they need, when they need it to deliver on time Keep relevant stakeholders fully informed of procurement and supply chain challenges, including any delivery delays. Purchase components with quality, cost, and lead time at the forefront, proactively identifying and mitigating any associated business risks. Select suppliers capable of meeting all AMF1 design specifications and required quality standards. Key supplier liaison with focus on reducing lead-times, increasing agility, delivery performance & achieving best value. Onboarding of new suppliers in conjunction with the Supplier Development Team to enhance the supply chain capability and capacity. Develop and enhance the relationships within the supply chain to ensure clear and consistent communication links. To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally always, and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Proven experience in procurement within Formula One or a fast-paced, high-performance engineering environment. Previous experience sourcing composite and additive manufactured components. Strong understanding of BOM structures, manufacturing processes, and technical drawings. Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of a commodity or component portfolio, proactively managing demand, supply risk, cost control, and delivery performance end-to-end. Flexible and adaptable approach and comfortable working with changing technical requirements, evolving schedules, and compressed lead times. Resilient under pressure, with a track record of delivering on time in demanding, deadline-driven environments. Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to challenge, negotiate, and drive accountability with suppliers.
