The Tutbury Practice is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive team for 20 hours per week. The work schedule will be spread across four weekdays, including Fridays, with specific hours to be agreed upon during the interview. About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at The Tutbury Practice, you will play a vitalrole in supporting medicines management across the practice. Working alongsideour GPs, clinical pharmacist, nurses, and administrative staff, you willcontribute to improving patient safety, enhancing repeat prescribing processes,and supporting cost-effective prescribing.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician at The Tutbury Practice, you will play a key role in supporting the repeat prescription process, including medication reviews and synchronisation. You will provide informed advice on medicines and prescribing queries to both patients and colleagues, contributing to safe and effective medication use. The role also involves conducting audits and participating in quality improvement initiatives, as well as assisting with the implementation of both local and national prescribing guidelines. Additionally, you will support the clinical team with medication-related tasks, including reconciliation of medicines following patient discharge.

Our clinical team includes two GP partners, foursalaried GPs, a clinical pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, and an experiencednursing team, all supported by a friendly and dedicated admin and receptionstaff.

* - Understanding of EMIS or similar clinical systems
