Job Purpose:
To ensure the safety and security of the premises, staff, visitors, and assets by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activities, and responding effectively to incidents or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish security presence.
2. Monitor and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
3. Protect property and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
4. Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
5. Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and security breaches immediately.
6. Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including fire, medical, or security incidents.
7. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
8. Operate and monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems where applicable.
9. Assist in enforcing company policies, site rules, and procedures.
10. Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
11. Liaise with emergency services when required.
Skills and Competencies:
12. Strong observation and attention to detail.
13. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
15. Basic report writing and record-keeping skills.
16. Understanding of public safety and security procedures.
17. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience:
18. Previous experience in a security role preferred.
19. Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence.
20. Fire Safety training (desirable).
21. Good physical condition and ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
