UNSW School of Optometry & Vision Science is the largest optometry and vision science school in Australasia, dedicated to forming partnerships with the ophthalmic industry and across the healthcare sector. Our school is committed to translational research that leads to practical application and significant improvements in ocular health. With the UNSW Optometry Clinic, students receive on‑campus clinical training, and our Vision Education Centre provides eye screening for primary school children – more than18,000 children screened since1990.

Responsibilities
* Lead the development and redesign of courses to align with the new UNSW semester calendar.
* Meet requirements set out in the OCANZ Accreditation Framework.
* Drive innovation in teaching practices and programmatic assessment.
* Engage collaboratively with senior staff and key stakeholders to ensure educational approaches are forward‑thinking, evidence‑based and responsive to the needs of students and the profession.
Qualifications & Skills
* Registered as an Optometrist in Australia with expertise in clinical optometry.
* Proactive in keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum development, learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Experience using or designing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
* Knowledge of industry or experience of work‑integrated learning (desirable).
* Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds; support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
