Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Project Controller to provide financial leadership and oversight across a portfolio of complex projects. This role sits within our Finance function and plays a critical part in ensuring projects are financially controlled, commercially sound, and aligned with strategic objectives throughout their lifecycle. You will act as a trusted business partner to Project Managers and senior stakeholders, delivering insight, challenge, and recommendations that support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes. What will you do: Project financial leadership • Lead financial oversight of multiple complex projects, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across the full project lifecycle. • Partner closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to drive financial accountability and commercial discipline. • Participate in regular project reviews to monitor progress against milestones, manage risks, and ensure timely invoicing and revenue recognition. • Provide financial input into project planning, commercial strategy, investment appraisal, and performance optimisation initiatives. Reporting, analysis, and insight • Deliver high-quality monthly project reporting, including variance analysis, profitability reviews, risk assessments, and clear executive-level commentary. • Translate complex financial data into actionable insight to support leadership decision-making. • Challenge assumptions and highlight emerging risks or opportunities early. Controls, closings, and audits • Oversee project valuations and support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Ensure strong adherence to internal controls, commercial terms, and contractual obligations, identifying risks and implementing mitigation actions. • Act as the primary finance contact for internal and external project audits, supporting transparency and continuous improvement of financial processes. • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of project finance frameworks, controls, and reporting standards. Who you are: You are a confident, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working close to the delivery side of the business. You bring structure and clarity to complex project environments, are comfortable challenging senior stakeholders, and take ownership of financial outcomes. You balance attention to detail with the ability to step back and see the bigger picture. Qualifications and skills: · Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. · Typically 5–7 years’ experience in project controlling, project accounting, or financial analysis within complex, multi-project environments. · Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles. · Experience working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is advantageous but not essential. · Advanced Excel skills and strong capability in financial modelling and data analysis. · Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. · Proven ability to operate effectively in cross-functional environments, balancing commercial and operational considerations. · Experience in maritime, offshore, engineering, or complex services environments is highly advantageous.
