This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of maintenance operations, lead a skilled team of engineers and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our manufacturing equipment.Working Hours & BenefitsRotating AM / PM Shift PatternAM ShiftMonday Thursday: 6:00am 2:00pmFriday: 6:00am 11:00amPM ShiftMonday Thursday: 2:00pm 10:00pmFriday: 11:00am 4:00pmBenefitsPension scheme with up to 10% employer contributionLife assurance (4x salary)Permanent Health Insurance (PHI)Subsidised canteenDiscounted gym membershipDiscounts across hundreds of UK retailersEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFree onsite parkingThe RoleAs Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide leadership, technical guidance and day-to-day direction to the Maintenance team, ensuring equipment downtime is minimised and production performance is maximised.You will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of preventative maintenance, TPM, Kaizen and reliability improvement activities, helping to ensure the business consistently delivers high-quality products safely and efficiently.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strong technical expertise and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing maintenance team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, direct and support Maintenance Engineers and Technicians across shift operationsDrive rapid fault resolution and equipment recovery to minimise downtimeTake ownership of temporary repairs and ensure permanent corrective actions are implementedSupport the delivery of Preventative Maintenance (PM), TPM, Kaizen and overhaul programmesMonitor equipment reliability and identify opportunities for improvementBuild strong working relationships with Production and Engineering teamsEnsure effective communication and escalation of maintenance issuesAttend operational meetings and drive actions to completionSupport maintenance planning and resource allocation activitiesManage day-to-day team performance and employee-related mattersMaintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and engineering best practiceProvide technical support and guidance to team members where requiredWhat We're Looking ForTime-served Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledgePrevious supervisory, team leader or maintenance leadership experience within manufacturingStrong understanding of maintenance processes, preventative maintenance and reliability improvementExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levelsStrong leadership and people management skillsAbility to coordinate workloads and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience of driving continuous improvement initiativesGood organisational and administrative skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance-related systemsFlexible, proactive and solution-focused approachStrong commitment to Health & Safety, 5S and engineering best practiceWhy Join DENSO?At DENSO, you'll be joining a globally recognised organisation where engineering excellence, innovation and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on manufacturing performance while developing your leadership skills within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
