About the Role: Fleet/ Planning and delivery of operational transport activities through your Transport Operations and Team Managers, to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customer Accountability for overall productivity within the operation, ensuring that activities are cost effective and levels of resource are managed effectively Maintaining and improving performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's Ensuring vehicles are legally compliant Effectively motivate, manage, and inspire your management team to develop and grow the skills of their teams Analysing customer feedback/information & propose innovative ideas to enhance the overall function Driving forward the continuous improvement of the operation Working within the departmental budget to own and achieve targets Ensuring that all requirements relating to safety, health, environment, and quality are being fully implemented Essential Criteria: Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of working in a large, complex transport function - ideally within temperature-controlled distribution.
