Campus Care Supervisor Part-Time (8-16 hours/week) Description: The Campus Care Supervisor will oversee campus-wide maintenance projects and general repairs of all areas of infrastructure to help create and maintain a safe work environment. This position will also improve and further develop systems for campus-wide inspections of all infrastructure, maintenance, and repair coordination on a wide variety of areas while maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: • Improve and further develop campus-wide maintenance systems, record-keeping, and schedules. Gather estimates of maintenance and repair projects. • Ensure maintenance projects and repair work is completed in a timely manner. • Ensure maintenance projects, and repair work is performed correctly and in a safe manner. • Assist with vendor selection for larger construction projects. • Attend meetings with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders as needed. • Source and purchase items needed for minor repairs. • Performs general repairs as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate vendors who perform maintenance and repairs. • Delegate and supervise minor repair projects. • Update department head on repair estimates. • Update the accounting department on vendor invoices and purchases made for repairs. • Record keeping with maintenance projects and repairs. • Coordinating with staff on the timing of maintenance projects and repairs. • Update department head and staff on the status of maintenance projects and repairs. • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive as needed. • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License. • At least five years of maintenance and construction-related experience is required. • Possess construction and maintenance-related education and training, along with California licenses and credentials. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to work outside in a remote, semi-arid environment that experiences extreme weather and temperatures. • Must be able to traverse on a multi-acre hillside property and facility with rugged terrain to diagnose maintenance problems and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed. • Must be physically able to perform a wide variety of maintenance projects and repairs as needed while using a wide range of tools, materials, and equipment. • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Prolonged standing, along with lifting, pulling, or carrying construction-related tools, equipment, and materials. • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time. Required Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge and experience of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. • Construction and general maintenance background and experience. • Fiscally trustworthy and responsible. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment. • Ability to take direction and feedback from managers. • Ability to identify potential maintenance problems and determine repairs that are needed. • Ability to plan maintenance schedules and inspections of infrastructure. • Knowledge and experience with construction permits and licensing. • Excellent project management and supervisory skills. • Ability to perform general repairs and maintenance as needed. • Ability to use and adapt to Google Workspace, virtual meetings, and other software as needed.
