Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager covering our Sheltered Housing Scheme in Norwich. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide support to our residents to enable them to live as independently as possible.
Responsibilities
* Deliver welfare, support and management services to residents living within sheltered housing schemes to enable them to live as independently as possible.
* Assist tenants in claiming relevant welfare benefits, maximise their income and ensure rent is paid through appropriate methods.
* Allocate and let empty homes within the schemes.
* Work with professional and voluntary agencies to encourage good neighbourhood relations and promote a sense of community.
About You (Qualifications and Experience)
* The role is customer focused and partnership working is often required to meet customer needs. Experience of multi-agency working and knowledge of local services is desirable.
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent, good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
* Experience of providing support (including welfare and benefits) relevant to Tenants in Social Housing. Experience in a similar role is beneficial.
