Due to continued growth, HMH in Aberdeenshire is expanding our Workshop team and seeking qualified Mechanical Technicians to carry out all aspects of repair, overhaul, and assembly on a variety of drilling equipment.
1. Contribute to risk assessments and toolbox talks
2. Perform all job functions in a safe manner
3. Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to Company standards
4. Ensure timesheets and inspection reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner
5. Carry out QC checks at Goods In point as required
6. Report and participate in investigations of unsafe practices and behaviors
7. Suggest improvements to working practices and HMH product lines
8. Ensure adherence to all local waste management policies and procedures
9. Operate forklifts, overhead gantry cranes, and vertical lift platforms (following training)
Successful candidates will:
1. Hold a NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
2. Have a good working knowledge of fluid power systems
3. Be experienced in high-pressure testing (oil and water mediums)
4. Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems
5. Be able to read schematic and layout drawings
6. Knowledge of subsea well control equipment, operation, and overhaul is advantageous
7. Be able to communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
