Your New RoleThis newly created role offers a unique opportunity to support the legal function in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be the team’s first paralegal and a trusted contributor across a wide range of legal and business initiatives. You’ll work closely with departments including sales, marketing, HR, procurement, and engineering, providing legal support that enables strategic decision-making and risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reviewing, drafting, and negotiatingmercial contracts, NDAs, and supply agreements
2. Providing practical legal advice across the business
3. Supporting contract and records management in line with UK GDPR
4. Assisting with dispute resolution and legal risk mitigation
5. Contributing to ESG and sustainability initiatives
6. Developing legal training materials and guidance for non-legal colleagues
7. Supporting special projects and cross-functional collaboration

What You’ll Need to SucceedEssential:
8. Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
9. Previous paralegal experience
10. Strong understanding of UK contract law, especiallymercial agreements
11. Excellent drafting, research, andmunication skills
12. Confidence in negotiating and advising across all levels of the business
13. Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
14. Collaborative mindset and attention to detail
Desirable:
15. In-house legal experience, ideally in a high-growth or project-driven environment
16. Sector experience in renewable energy, construction, manufacturing, or engineering
17. Familiarity with ESG principles and sustainability inmercial contracting
18. Experience in scaling businesses where innovation and pragmatism are key
