Key Account Manager

DSV is seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager at Mercia Park due to growth. This role reports to the Senior Key Account Manager and is responsible for leading a team to deliver high-quality service to customers based at Mercia Park. The Key Account Manager plays a vital role within the Site Management team, supporting strategies aimed at high customer retention. The role requires proactive management of operational and strategic customer needs, advocating for the customer while seeking service improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth through value-added services.


Responsibilities

* Establish and review service expectations, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
* Manage direct relationships with customers, supporting operational and financial aspects.
* Understand and integrate customer business needs across departments.
* Recruit, train, develop, and discipline personnel related to your accounts, maintaining liaison with HR. Conduct regular performance reviews and embed employee engagement practices.
* Promote DSV Contract Logistics' reputation through professionalism and effective communication.
* Develop knowledge of supply chain processes, financial objectives, and business acumen to benefit clients and personal growth.
* Collaborate with Business Development and Global Account Management Teams to attract new customers and expand existing accounts.
* Create and maintain business plans to meet account objectives aligned with DSV’s vision and KPIs.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, maintaining confidentiality.
* Support site P&L management alongside the Senior Key Account Manager.
* Maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS18001.
* Ensure workplace security and compliance with company policies on security and health standards.
* Participate in development training to meet Investors in People standards.


Experience & Skills

* Middle management experience with profit and loss management skills.
* Strong communication, people management, and warehouse process knowledge.
* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, customer service, and team leadership.
* IT proficiency, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
* Educational requirements: 4 GSCEs or equivalent, with at least 3 years relevant account management or customer service experience.
