Our client is a European logistics business with over 10 sites spread across the continent. They specialise in the storage, blending & shipping of highly in-demand products within the consumer goods sector.
Working Monday to Friday in Bury St Edmunds, with 1 day remote working available, you'll play a key part in ensuring this modest sized yet busy depot maintains excellent performance standards.
This role offers a unique mix of traditional logistics management duties coupled with responsibility over the sites Quality Management systems. However, given that these are two very different skillsets and career paths, our client is willing train the Quality management side if required. The logistics management experience is essential.
customer & supplier relationship management, leading the inbound & operations teams, internal & external quality auditing, legislative compliance and similar logistics related duties.
Logistics management experience, ideally with exposure to shipping/imports & exports
Experience with supervising key logistics staff members, including performance management, appraisals, etc
Any exposure to working with quality systems, QMS, auditing or similar would highly beneficial
