About the Role
To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Northampton on a NGED Contract
You will be responsible for providing strong leadership, contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning - Ensuring safety, financial and operational targets are met or exceeded, maintaining exceptional customer service levels throughout each project - Low Voltage - construction, maintenance and repair of the underground and overhead network up to 66kV. Programming and monitoring of immediate work colleagues, switching up to 66kV, the issuing of appropriate safety documentation.
This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check
What you will be doing:
Project Management of construction, maintenance and repair of the underground and overhead network up to 66kV / distribution substations / and construction alteration of overhead lines and associated plant.
Operate in full compliance with Ipsum Power and NGED Policies, Procedures, and Instructions
Survey and quote individual projects based on a contract schedules/ and pricing structures
Management of site staff, sub-contractors, vehicles, equipment, and issues arising from sites
Day to day customer facing discussions and arrangements
Actively monitor performance of all site staff including subcontractors with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment
Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated, with remedies implemented.
Monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements.
Ensure resources are adequate for the workload and that projects are delivered in an economic and timely manner.
Ensure Ipsum Power policies and improvement action plans are effectively implemented, monitored, and audited.
What you will bring:
Proven Project Management experience
City & Guilds 2339 Level 2 /or equivalent Level 2 Qualification in Electrical Engineering
Level 3 City & Guilds 2339
Grade A*-C/4-9 GCSE in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in both subjects
Knowledge / or experience of CRM System - Crown (preferable not essential)
Excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude and be able to cope in pressured situations often working to tight deadlines
Professional, customer focused with a good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
Excellent time management skills, with ability to deliver tasks to deadline
You must be able to work on your own initiative as part of a small team and be capable of making on the spot decisions as required.
