Program Manager, WHS, WHS Central Programs Team
The Central Programs Team, India (CPT India), leads cross-functional projects that require collaboration with Amazon businesses, geographical units, and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). The WHS Programs focus on initiatives to reduce risks and improve network WHS (Health & Safety) standards and procedures. Responsibilities include gathering business requirements, documenting specifications, assembling project teams, and managing milestones for timely delivery. The team measures progress, resolves bottlenecks, manages escalations, and balances business needs with technical constraints. This role involves managing worldwide WHS standards, training, and continuous improvement projects, with hands-on work in stakeholder engagement, WHS regulatory research, data analytics, and technical documentation. The candidate should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator.
Key job responsibilities
1. Program/Process Improvement, Project Management
* Communicate findings and recommendations to management and partners regarding compliance issues.
* Guide management on policies and procedures.
* Conduct audits, draft reports, and track issues.
* Manage reports and metrics.
* Identify gaps and escalate issues.
* Maintain confidentiality of reviewed documents.
* Draft and revise audit reports.
* Conduct data analysis and recommend corrective actions.
* Build trust through understanding audit processes.
* Contribute to strategic discussions and continuous improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 3+ years of program or project management experience
* Proficiency with digital tools (Advanced MS Excel, SharePoint, Quicksight)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced Excel (Macros/VBA)
* Experience with stakeholder management across geographies
* Program/Project Management Certification (e.g., Six Sigma)
* Knowledge of SQL/Python
* Experience with visualization tools like QuickSight, Tableau
